We all have important values and ideas, things we care about and want to share. Sometimes we feel our ideas can even change the world, and we want to let other people know how they can join in and make all our lives better.
On September 28, 2001 the TLC Foundation Officially made a new home in St. Tammany Parish. Our community is very fortunate to have the passion and wisdom of it's founders to help.
The TLC Foundation has a new direction and a new board, but the same goal, TO HELP CHILDREN WHERE IT IS NEEDED THE MOST. The foundation is organizing and aiding in building a new home for children.
TLC FOUNDATION
BRINGING JOY AND LAUGHTER TO REPLACE SADNESS AND FEAR. REACHING OUT TO CHILDREN WHOSE LIVES HAVE BEEN HURT, BUT WHOSE CAPACITY FOR HAPPINESS KNOWS NO BOUNDS.
The "H.A.L.O" House will be a home staffed with skilled professionals to help in the healing of abused and neglected children in our community. The children will range in ages from 12-18 (girls). A place for them to feel safe and to grow into independent young women. It will be a temporary or permanent home to children in our region which include: St. Tammany, Livingston, Tangipohoa, St. Helena, and Washington Parishes. |

A SPECIAL GIFT
Children love packages of every size and shape. The ones in brown paper that arrive in the mail, the ones brightly wrapped under the Christmas tree, and carried by tiny hands to a Birthday party. Especially the ones that make their dreams come true. The TLC/HALO's special gift is a stable foundation for girls to build and grow upon, even in the face of a family in crisis, children need to experience the joy of a special gift. |
